Jeff Larsen’s history of successful business incubation and development spans over two decades. He has been in the forefront of digital technologies, multi-media education, and communications innovation since 1988, having predicted seismic shifts in the marketplace, and creating software and education products that have been adopted by Fortune 100 companies . . . [More]
His Cooperative Media Group designed and created software and educational products with Apple Computer, Sun Microsystems, Hewlett Packard, Oracle, Macromedia, Adobe, Netscape, and other pioneering companies on the digital frontier.
In partnership with traditional print publishers — The Smithsonian Institution Press, Oxford University Press, Houghton Mifflin, International Thomson Publishing — Larsen’s team designed and created breakthrough educational new media products on CD-ROM that earned numerous awards and grants. Cooperative Media Group was reorganized in 1997, and was selected by Cisco Systems for design and testing of their internal and external browser-based training solution.
In 2009, after taking time to complete his PhD in Intellectual History, Larsen launched In The Telling. The introduction of Apple’s iPad in April 2010 sparked a new product concept for Larsen. Within four months, he secured funding to develop a prototype iPad App in partnership with the Leeds School of Business at CU that would transform business case study publishing.
Larsen has gathered a tight circle of talent and experience to execute on a broader vision based on this core technology--capitalizing on the explosive growth of mobile computer devices and the existing social media ecosystem, where they converge on the frontiers of TransMedia Navigation and Collaboration.
